Voice Typing – Speech to Text
Effective Date: July 9, 2026
Welcome to Voice Typing – Speech to Text. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension handles your information. The extension is designed to be privacy‑focused — all speech processing happens directly on your device.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or audio recordings. Your speech is processed locally using the Web Speech API built into your browser — no audio ever leaves your device.
When you use the voice‑typing feature, your voice is converted to text directly on your computer. No transcriptions, voice samples, or metadata are sent to our servers or any third‑party service.
Our extension requires <all_urls> host permission solely
to detect text‑input fields and insert transcribed text into them on any website you visit.
This permission is used for functionality only — it is never used for tracking,
analytics, or data collection.
Because we do not collect any data, there is no risk of data breaches, unauthorized access, or data loss from our side. All processing is performed locally on your machine, ensuring your voice and text remain private and secure.
Our extension does not use any third‑party services, analytics SDKs, or external APIs that process your data. The speech recognition is powered entirely by your browser’s built‑in Web Speech API.
You have full control over the extension:
